Course Description
6th grade Students learn basic graphic design and animation concepts through programs such as Comic Life, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and iMovie.
Skills and Techniques include:
7th grade Students will further their knowledge on design with an emphasis on contour drawing and composition using Adobe Photoshop and online Apps. Students will also create a rotoscope animation using Adobe Flash.
Skills and Techniques include:
6th grade Students learn basic graphic design and animation concepts through programs such as Comic Life, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and iMovie.
Skills and Techniques include:
- Exploring concepts of trademarks, fair use, and royalty images
- Using composition with text/font/style
- Understanding silhouette design, positive/negative space, and color/hue/value
- Learning basic animation concepts such as sequencing, timing, story boarding, frame by frame animation, squash/stretching, foreground/mid-ground/background.
7th grade Students will further their knowledge on design with an emphasis on contour drawing and composition using Adobe Photoshop and online Apps. Students will also create a rotoscope animation using Adobe Flash.
Skills and Techniques include:
- Using contour lines
- Filtering/adjusting digital photographs
- Creating and learning basic rotoscoping techniques
- Interpreting and critiquing digital artwork
- Developing a digital art portfolio
